Frequently Asked Questions

When do children begin potty training?

Typically most children begin consistent potty-use between the ages of 2-3 years old; some sooner, some later. At The Little House Learning Center we wait until a parent and our caregivers believe a child is ready for toilet training (generally between 2–4 years of age) both the Parent and our Center’s staff will fill out an information sheet.

What are The Little House Learning Center meal times?

All classrooms at The Little House Learning Center from ages 1 and up have set mealtime schedules: Breakfast 6:30-7:30, Morning Snack 9:00-9:30, Lunch 11:30-12:30, and Afternoon Snack 3:00-3:30. If you would like your child to have their meals at our center please be sure to have their meals at the center during  these times.

If my child goes home sick with a fever today. When can he/she return?

All children who go home sick need to be symptom free (without the aid of medication) for at least 24 hours.

If your child has a fever (100.5 or more degrees), sore throat, cough, ear infection, runny nose, diarrhea or vomiting, they should be kept home until they are feeling better. Children need rest for their bodies to fight off an infection if this is the case.

Do I need to drop my child off by a certain time?

No. The Little House Learning Center is open between the hours of 6:30am-6:30pm. Families can come and go as they please and use our services when it is most convenient for them. However, as mentioned above, meal times are set and so are activities in the classroom. If you would like your child to participate in specific activities they must be in attendance at the designated times which are posted on the classroom schedule.
